Dear Café Goers,
Next Tuesday, April 15, will be the last Cafe Scientifique of the academic year. The next cafe will be on August 19 after a great summer. See you all again next year.. I am really pleased to end on a very different and "holistic" science topic. Professor Rebecca Laroche will present her work as a fellow at the Institute for the Medical Humanities at the University of Texas Medical Center. Her specific topic is "Helps in their own fields and gardens -- early modern women's ownership of English herbals." This should be a fun and enlightening evening.
Poor Richard's Bookstore at 320 N Tejon has kindly asked us to move the café to their new space dedicated to community events. The Cafe starts at 6:30. Come early and eat dinner, or get a glass of wine. See you all soon at Poor Richard's!
